WEST Wing actor Tim Busfield has made his first court appearance after being charged with child sex abuse crimes.<\/p>\n

The 68-year-old star was officially charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor (child under 13) and one count of child abuse.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, Busfield stood in\u00a0court\u00a0in an orange jumpsuit while he listened to the allegations that he engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with 11-year-old twin boys.<\/p>\n

The judge has confirmed his pretrial detention hearing will take place in the<\/p>\n

next<\/span>\u00a0five\u00a0business<\/span>\u00a0days.<\/p>\n

January 29 has been decided as the\u00a0deadline<\/span>\u00a0for his preliminary hearing.<\/p>\n

A warrant was issued on January 4 for the star, who played senior\u00a0White House\u00a0Correspondent<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Danny Concannon in the American drama series.<\/p>\n

His location was unknown for several days after the allegations went public, but\u00a0he turned himself in to officials in New\u00a0Mexico\u00a0on Tuesday January 13, Albuquerque\u00a0Police\u00a0confirmed to The U.S. Sun.<\/p>\n

Disturbingly, one of the victims alleged that the incidents began when he was just 7 years old.<\/p>\n

In the immediate hours before his surrender to police Busfield spoke out about the allegations he labelled \u201clies\u201d.<\/p>\n

In the video obtained by TMZ, he said: \u201cI\u2019m sure most of you know, that are watching this, that I was ordered to come to Albuquerque \u2013 I\u2019m here now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got the call Friday night, I had to get a lawyer. Saturday I got in the car, drove 2,000 miles to Albuquerque.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna confront these lies. They\u2019re horrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued denying the heinous allegations, claiming \u201cThey\u2019re all lies and I did not do anything to those little boys and I\u2019m gonna fight it.<\/p>\n
