Lisa Barlow<\/strong>\u00a0is going the distance over a recent celebrity encounter.<\/p>\n

After the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star told her castmates she skipped a cast trip in order to attend a work event alongside Ben Affleck, the Oscar winner admitted his memory of the alleged encounter was a bit fuzzy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don’t want to get anybody in trouble,\u201d he told Access Hollywood in an interview published Jan. 16. \u201cI don’t know what this is\u2014an event in Salt Lake City?\u201d<\/p>\n

In fact, Ben, 53, couldn\u2019t pinpoint the last time he visited the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven’t been in Utah in, I don’t know, eight, nine, 10 years?\u201d he admitted in response to seeing a photo of the reality star. \u201cIt doesn’t look familiar to me and I don’t remember anything, and I don\u2019t want to embarrass her.\u201d<\/p>\n

But the\u00a0Gone Girl<\/em>\u00a0actor insisted he wasn\u2019t contradicting Lisa\u2019s story, pointing out that he\u2019s had many similar experiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cI meet a lot of people, I say hi to a lot of people,\u201d he explained. \u201cI don’t want to be the jerk who\u2019s like, \u2018I did meet you.\u2019 You don’t remember everyone you meet.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Lisa, 51, offered a much clearer recollection, revealing exactly when and where the interaction she was referring to took place.<\/p>\n
