Venita Aspen<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Salley Carson<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0reflected on their season 11 tension after last week\u2019s episode of\u00a0Southern Charm<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n After\u00a0Craig Conover<\/strong><\/a>, 36, was seen informing Salley, 30, that he\u00a0wasn\u2019t interested<\/a>\u00a0in dating, despite the signs he seemed to be displaying, Venita, 32, explained why she felt that Salley wasn\u2019t being a \u201cgirl\u2019s girl\u201d as Salley targeted\u00a0Venita\u2019s hypocrisy<\/a>, as well as her overbearing and \u201ccontrolling\u201d ways\u00a0in their friendship<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cSalley\u2019s not not a girl\u2019s girl. She was not a girl\u2019s girl to me in the moment that I called it out,\u201d Venita clarified on the January 14 episode of the\u00a0Southern Charm: After Show<\/em><\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s not that you aren\u2019t that 363 days, but the 365, all the sudden I lost you, and I felt like in those moments you weren\u2019t being a girl\u2019s girl and I called it out.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Venita, she felt that because she and Salley were so close, it was important for the two of them to have \u201chard conversations.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe is someone I considered to be a good friend, so that means the conversations aren\u2019t going to be easy, happy, and go lucky. They\u2019re gonna be hard,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Salley said she didn\u2019t really understand the idea that she was breaking girl code by pursuing Craig, even though Venita, who\u00a0previously feuded<\/a>\u00a0with Craig, warned her against it.<\/p>\n \u201cHow many guys have we dated that our friends don\u2019t necessarily agree with?\u201d she wondered. \u201cI know that they had beef, but she never dated him \u2026 Also, who stuck by her with the [Jarrett \u201cJT\u201d Thomas<\/strong><\/a>] thing? Venita wanted\u00a0to still date him<\/a>, and I\u2019m like \u2026 \u2018If you like this guy, I will try to like him for you,\u2019 and then, since the Craig thing happened, I\u2019m like, \u2018Did you forget all of that last summer because I stuck by you the entire time.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think that is maybe slightly hypocritical on her part,\u201d\u00a0Molly O\u2019Connell<\/strong><\/a>, 37, replied, adding that Venita may have been acting \u201cfrom a place of hurt.\u201d<\/p>\n Venita then recalled her\u00a0past fling with JT<\/a>, admitting that everyone was saying, \u201cDon\u2019t do it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI was like, \u2018Guys, I see such a different version of him,\u2019 down to Salley,\u201d she shared. \u201cSalley was like, \u2018But if you like him, whatever,\u2019 so that\u2019s why I always kind of like, \u2018One, he just got out of a relationship, two, he\u2019s bad mouthing your best friend, three, are you sure this is the person you want to rush into? The stove is hot. Don\u2019t touch it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Because Venita went against her friends\u2019 advice but shamed her for doing the same, Salley said, \u201cI do think she was a little bit hypocritical.\u201d<\/p>\n As for the curfew Venita gave her with Craig, Salley felt it was \u201cinsane.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI would be at Craig\u2019s house, not doing anything \u2026 and she\u2019s like texting me like she sees my location,\u201d Salley explained. \u201cShe\u2019s gotten better, but she, for a good bit of the summer in our friendship, was very overbearing and a little bit controlling. It was a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n In her defense, Venita said she wanted Salley to \u201cbe safe\u201d and not \u201cdo anything\u201d she\u2019d regret.<\/p>\n Still, Salley noted that her \u201ccontrolling\u201d antics didn\u2019t stop with Craig.<\/p>\n
