The grand Beaux-arts hotel is a popular spot for visiting officials and luminaries, hosting former President Joe Biden during the APEC conference in 2023 and top-dollar fundraisers for politicians like Kamala Harris, who threw a ritzy fete last year with tickets costing up to $250,000.<\/p>\n

It was packed with visitors around New Year\u2019s Eve, workers said, but quiet Friday as staffers dismantled holiday decor like a life-size gingerbread house and bespoke lobby bar.<\/p>\n

She was known as a party animal in North Beach, a popular nightlife spot packed with bars and clubs.<\/p>\n

A bouncer at Vesuvio, a popular bar in the neighborhood, recognized her and said she had been 86\u2019ed for being intoxicated and rude.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve not let her in before and she\u2019d be like \u201cf\u2014- you,\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was never nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones was arrested three times last year, including a drug-related bust in Napa County where she was allegedly under the influence, possessing narcotics and uncooperative with police, according to court records.<\/p>\n

In April, she was busted in Napa County for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a narcotic controlled substance, and obstructing a peace officer.<\/p>\n

She was also charged with domestic battery and later released on bail.<\/p>\n

The hotel where she died is renowned for its sweeping city and bay views and has been featured in films such as \u201cThe Rock\u201d and \u201cDirty Harry.\u201d<\/p>\n
