A New York City singleton has sparked widespread debate after\u00a0sharing a list of \u201cbare minimum rules\u201d for men on a first date,\u00a0with some critics claiming she\u2019s \u201chigh maintenance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raq, who is in her twenties, told The Post that dating as a single woman in the Big Apple is a \u201ccomplete cesspool,\u201d stating men are \u201ceither gay, too good to be true, or ran through.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe person in the suburbs would just never understand that,\u201d Raq reeled. \u201cLike the best man in the entire world, the guy who seems like he\u2019s a f\u2013king catch is actually pure evil.\u201d<\/p>\n

As such, the weary dater devised the rules and posted them to her X account, where they quickly clocked up over 1 million views and a whole lot of controversy.<\/p>\n

\u201c1. Pay the bill (if you split the bill, I will never speak to you again AND I will slander you),\u201d Raq wrote, kicking off her list of seven rules by rebuffing the idea that women should now split expenses evenly.<\/p>\n

\u201c2. Open the door (ALL doors) \u2013 I don\u2019t touch doors,\u201d the singleton subsequently stipulated.<\/p>\n

\u201c3. Let her order first 4. Let her sit in the booth (obviously) 5. Offer to walk her home\/to car\/to Uber \u2013 to prove you\u2019re not a huge p\u2013sy,\u201d Raq continued. \u201c6. Do not mention your ex, your situationship, or \u2018this girl I used to talk to\u2019 7. Sidewalk rule \u2013 if you don\u2019t know it that explains why you\u2019re single.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, hundreds of people flocked to the comments section to rage against Raq for the list.<\/p>\n

\u201cFunny how \u2018bare minimum\u2019 for men always comes with maximum entitlement for women,\u201d\u00a0one retorted.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t disagree, but your tone, especially on point 2 makes you sound high maintenance and undateable (unless I was drunk\/desperate),\u201d\u00a0a second said.<\/p>\n
