Although Paris\u2014now 18\u2014made headlines for a suicide attempt in 2013, the superstar\u2019s daughter revealed it wasn\u2019t just a one-time occurrence.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tried to commit suicide several times<\/strong>\u00a0,\u201d the young woman told the aforementioned publication. In June of that year, drowning in depression and drug addiction, she attempted to kill herself by slitting her wrists.<\/p>\n

Suicidal thoughts began after her father\u2019s death in 2009. \u201cThey always say time heals, but it really doesn\u2019t. You just end up getting used to it,\u201d she explained to the publication.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cI lost the one thing that mattered most to me. (\u2026) So, from now on, nothing bad can happen. (\u2026) I feel it with me all the time<\/strong>\u00a0.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paris also inflicted pain on himself through self-harm. He covered many of the scars he has on his body today with some of his 50 tattoos.<\/p>\n

Far from those difficult times, Paris reflects: \u201cI hated myself. I thought I couldn\u2019t do anything right, that I wasn\u2019t worthy of living anymore.\u00a0\u00a0I was doing a lot of things a girl shouldn\u2019t do. I tried to grow up too fast, and I wasn\u2019t that kind of person<\/strong>\u00a0. \u201d<\/p>\n

The new face of Chanel\u2014who struggled with addiction and depression for a long time\u2014was also sexually abused at age 14.
