The situation quickly escalated, resulting in officers being beaten before additional staff intervened.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter appeared in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, where he was formally charged with two counts of felonious assault related to the incident. Prosecutors cited the severity of the attack and Hunter\u2019s extensive criminal history when requesting a high bond.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of the assault, Hunter was already serving a 32-year prison sentence stemming from multiple violent convictions, including involuntary manslaughter, attempted murder, felonious assault, and aggravated robbery, all classified as first-degree felonies.<\/p>\n<p>Officials have not released details regarding the condition of the injured officers, though authorities confirmed that the incident is under internal review.
