Teddi Mellencamp stepped out with her ex-boyfriend Ricci Rea in the Los Angeles area over the weekend amid her ongoing cancer battle.

The reality TV personality, 44, was accompanied by her beau as she dropped off her son Cruz at football practice and sat in the bleachers to support her second child.

She shares her 10-year-old son as well as daughters Slate, 13, and Dove, five, with her estranged husband Edwin Arroyave, whom she was married for 13 years before their October 2024 split.

She wore a low-cut, long-sleeved top paired with light brown sweatpants and a matching baseball cap.

Her on-off boyfriend of less than a year also kept it casual in a T-shirt, joggers and an LA baseball cap as he stayed closely by her side during their excursion.

This came after her father John Mellencamp said she has been ‘going through hell’ in a heartbreaking update on her ongoing

cancer battle.

She was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in 2022 and has undergone multiple surgeries in the past three years.

Last year, she revealed that her cancer battle took a turn and spread to her lungs and brain, developing into stage 4 melanoma.

She underwent emergency brain surgery as well as radiation and immunotherapy treatment.

In October 2025, she shared the results of a new scan and revealed there was ‘no detectable cancer.’

In an episode of her podcast, Two T’s in a Pod, that month, she clarified that she is ‘not considered in remission or anything like that.’

‘I still am in immunotherapy, so I’m still fighting because you have to be,’ she explained.

She previously revealed her doctor told her she was given a ’50/50 chance’ of survival.
