Why not just make a robot that can radiate so much heat underneath it to melt the snow on concrete, but can still clear snow on grass or dirt without ruining the surfaces because it can sense what the material is underneath it with sensors and can adjust its programming accordingly to use . This robot won’t burn the grass or dirt but still melt the snow and can completely get rid of the snow in an insanely fast amount of time with no ice left behind or any trace of snow. 
Also if you are not at the property at the time when it is snowing the robot can view the entire property and see what needs to be done and take care of the snow while it’s already falling so that way it won’t accumulate and it won’t stick any thicker than is drivable, also put on some darn chains or studded tires. Haha! 
I have a robotic one it’s my wife. I just say, “The driveway needs done,” and like magic, she’s out there handling it. Works great indoors too. She cooks, she cleans, she keeps everything running smoothly, and does an amazing job in the bedroom also. Honestly, best all-in-one model I’ve ever had reliable, efficient, and way smarter than anything they sell in stores.
