BRIGITTE Bardot’s cause of death has been revealed by her grieving husband ahead of the international sex symbol’s funeral.
The iconic French film star had undergone two major operations in her final weeks before passing away at the age of 91 last month.

Bernard d’Ormale told Paris Match magazine his wife of 30 years underwent two procedures to treat a cancer diagnosis.
Brigitte had tolerated the surgeries “very well” after being rushed to hospital in late November, Bernard said.
He went on to reveal his wife’s final words saying: “They were the most moving moment of my life with Brigitte, because she was leaving us.
The two words were Brigitte’s touching way of saying goodbye as she would often use it as a “little word of love”, according to a statement by the Brigitte Bardot Foundation.
The mum-of-one took her last breath at 6am on December 28.
An emotional Bernard added: “I saw her suffering disappear in the next fifteen minutes – she became magnificent.”
Brigitte’s funeral is set to take place later today in a private service in Saint-Tropez.
A public homage at the French Riviera resort where Brigitte lived for more than half a century will also host an event for the movie legend.
Hundreds of mourners have already taken to the streets of St Tropez in honour of the actress.
